Frequently asked questions

What kind of events job does the Events Management course prepare me for?

The Events Management course prepares you for coordination roles in international congresses and corporate events. These include work with congress organisers, associations, venues and event teams in companies. You learn bidding, event design, sponsorship and budgets, ISO 20121:2024 sustainability, event technology, ROI measurement, GDPR and safety planning. A completion certificate, verifiable by QR code, documents what you studied.

What could I actually do during the internship, and who finds the company?

You find the host company yourself, for example a congress organiser, venue, association or a company's events department. The school then issues the internship agreement and its annex, and the company signs electronically, usually within one or two working days. Suitable tasks include preparing bid documents, building sponsorship packages, tracking budgets, setting up registration and check-in, producing post-event ROI reports and checking registration forms against GDPR.

Which standards, methods and tools does the course cover?

The course covers ISO 20121:2024 for sustainable event management and the GDPR as applied to registration, photography, CCTV, badge scanning and international data transfers. Among the methods are break-even by contribution margin, tiered sponsorship, ROI, ROO, ROE and event NPS, attendance funnels, and the peak-end principle in event design. It also explains event platforms: QR check-in, badge printing, event apps, AI matchmaking and lead scoring.

Isn't events management mostly logistics and making things look good?

No. Logistics is only part of the job. The course treats event design as the architecture of the attendee's experience, planned backwards from what attendees should think, feel or do afterwards. Theme and staging are only one subordinate layer. The commercial side matters just as much: a sold-out event can still lose money, because ticket income alone rarely breaks even without sponsorship, exhibition revenue or grants.
